International facilities management company Key FM have selected a web based CRM portal from iport4business as the basis for their enterprise portal solution. Key FM's Managing Director Stan Mitchell, also the Chairman of the British Institute of Facility Management and other international FM organizations, wanted a solution which allowed them to grow their portal in line with the demands of their customers and stakeholders and a critical factor was the ability to begin with an online model which allowed them to deploy a low cost pilot extremely quickly before committing to an in-house solution.
Headquartered in a historic building located in a small Scottish village, Key FM's staff mostly operate remotely servicing their customers throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. Their portfolio of clients include Shell, Chevron, Elf and Mitsubishi and the new portal will allow improved communications between Key FM staff and their customers and suppliers.
In addition to the normal CRM applications of customer service, sales and project management, Key FM are developing an innovative Supply Chain portal which will match their extensive supply and subcontractor chain to the right customer at the right times.
"This is a great example of a product like iportinstant being adopted at an early stage by an organization innovating in a traditional marketplace" says Chic McSherry, CEO of iport4business. "Large enterprise software products are hugely expensive and time consuming to deploy and do not always cover all the requirements of niche sectors" he added.
