Houston based Anadarko is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in the world and is involved in projects across the globe from oil exploration to oil production. One of their newest and potentially largest ventures involves partnerships with Russian and Spanish companies in the former Soviet Union. The key to success is collaboration between teams that are spread around the world who can rarely meet face to face.
To solve these problems the Anadarko project team chose an iportinstant Project Portal which allows them to give controlled access to project information, documentation, contact information and project calendars. These tools speed up decision making and boost collaboration on the project between the partners.
The main reasons for choosing an iportinstant solution was the ease of set-up and flexibility of the pricing model which allowed the Anadarko project team to be up and running within a matter of days without any hardware or software to buy and bypassing the need to go through an IT procurement process.
